A very uninformed viewer who phoned C-SPAN recently claimed that the International Space Station costs $4 trillion. Holy crapoli! Last I heard, only $100 billion was spent on the ISS during its nearly 10 years of operation. And I'm sure that far less than $4 trillion has been spent on NASA during its 50-year history. Ironic that a person who doesn't know the difference between a retrorocket and a retrovirus can so suredly proclaim such a massively false statement about the space program. But in this stupidity-oriented pseudo-society, that sort of thing happens all the time.
